Talking of Tanks has anyone ever taken one? a Scorpian would be ideal, can you imagin the look on the french polices faces!
I did my apprenticship at MVEE Chobam in the mid to late 70's, we had 2 ideal tools,
1st a Scorpian with a 302cu ford V8! it was used for high speed track tests (85 mph is about the limit before they let go - do'nt want to be in the way!!) the motor was mounted in the back, it had open Header stacks sticking out behind - it was the hotest tank ever, used to pull wheelies - was very hairy and sounded awsome
.
The other was the ultimate water pistol - it was a Saracen armored car with a hydrogen powered water gun. It had a big water tank in the back where the troops would normally sit, 2 hyrogen cyliners strapped to the out side and the water cannon mouted on the roof. the only problem was that the "balls" of water would take the bark off of trees!!! - deemed to dangerous for cival unrest! dont see the problem myself, but thats civil servants for you.
It would centainly sort out the blokes with the super soakers!
The Establishment has closed down now - I wonder what happen to them!!!!!
