On our travels last weekend to and from Pre Quals, we noticed a lot of raod works going on between Rouen and Alencon.

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

Absolutely dear boy..................

The ACO, having monitored this forum for some time, and having previously noted your claim to be able to get there with youre eyes closed  Roll Eyes have decided upon an Anti - Brown policy.

By entirely replacing the previously known roads, you can no longer be sure where you are going, and will have to pay attention.  Sad

Look, I know this is apain in the ar*e, but you'll just have to get used to it.  Sorry Steve, but there you go mate.

Bugger, and I've just spent the last 6 hours fitting the auto pilot to the cobra.

More news on this subject.

I was in Stanfords map shop in Long Acre, London yesterday and happend to have a nose through the new Michelin maps of France dated April 2004.

A 'road under construction' - will be a continuation of the A28 - is shown from just to the southwest of Rouen, past Bernay, Gace, Sees etc, all the way to Alencon to join up with the new section down to Le Mans.

There's no word on expected completion date.

So, in future years, we'll be driving all the way from Calais to Le Mans on the motorway (with the usual excursion through Rouen).
