In the sure knowledge that this thread will degenerate into the marvelous filth that this forum always manages to twist ANY subject round too, this one is like shooting fish in a barrel....

Will there be a WI-FI hotspot at the race this year?  I remember there being lots of talk about it last year, and wondered if anyone made use of it?  I have 11g wireless on my laptop and have all three leagues to update - F1, WRC & BTCC all on the same weekend as LM, not good...  (or VERY good)

Beat me to it. Apparently there was a Wi Fi hotspot on Houx Annexe last year, after my friday night at JPC's, when i woke up on saturday admidst a dirty protest. Sorted out with an overdose of imodiums I hasten to add. I'm now barred from JPC's Friday night gathering after our WWF demonstration went through next doors gazebo wall. Ahhhh the demon drink. I'm sure he'll let me in though on the night.

And anyway, it's your own group that have banned you from the Vodka this year! Can't imagine why though. But I've got hold of some Grimbergen for you instead!!!  Shocked

Sounds good, as long as its not 40% proof and comes in pint glasses I should be Ok. I've promised to behave this year. No spirits (well maybe just a little bit.)

Aaaww boys, I nearly missed this one, sorry about the 'late entry' and all that, I've just not had much PC time lately...
It's funny this subject should come up though. Just this weekend I was scrubbing my brussel sprouts in the bidet in preparation for another visit from the in-laws and my mind naturally wandered onto the topic of whiffy hot-spots, Benidorm and Liz Hurley.
Dreamracer, I feel confident there will be at least one, if not many whiffy hot-spots at LM this year; a gently fragranced one would be nice, but you just can't have everything these days. The thought of an "11g wireless on my laptop" however leaves me speechless. How do you do it, what with all the drink and all? Only just the other day someone asked me if I had a "firewire port". I kissed him on both cheeks.
Wasn't it last year that someone was proudly boasting of a whiffy HS of 2 kilometres radius? TWO KILOMETRES!!! I was proud of my own slowly spreading damp patch up until then, it really took the wind out of my sails hearing that. I believe Smokie had managed an irregular 20 metres by Sunday afternoon.
Which brings me round to the subject of my bowels, but time is short, and I best be going.
Isn't motor racing just FANTASTIC!! I'm getting really excited now!

H I'm no computer geek, but it seems to me that your problem will be solved if you remember to bring along a good length of finest zuniga cable aid (CA passim). If you havn't got any, it's obtainable from Vapourous Wilkins. You'll find it's easily installed simply by inserting it into your firewire port, most people have them, it's just that they don't realise it until they experiment. I'm certain you'll find your firewire port round the back of your 11g laptop. It's a tight fit, no mistake, and you may need to use a suitable lubricant, such as walnut oil. Just be careful of the poisonous fumes given off when you've got it all up and running.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to broadcast whatever it is you want to broadcast over a 2km radius, a nonsensical area to my mind, but it will be better than nothing.

Hope this helps. No need to kiss me on both cheeks and leave your bowels out of this.

Bloaty.
