Back in 1980 when I was a mere lad, I went to Silverstone for the 6 hour. I saw the Germans Cheesy

I saw the Italians Cool

Then there was the British Undecided

I love those shut lines!

It looks like the owner got a "make your own glass fibre panels" kit for Christmas and got spaced out on the vapour from the resin.

Still - has it improved the TR7 body shape ??  Undecided

From what I recall the panel gaps are consistent with actual production of the TR7 at the time  Wink

The fibreglass at least covers up the rusty sills, but there is no sign of the flapping vinyl roof, where the L'pool (Speke) boys didn't glue it down properly.

BTW I was once driven by a Doctor with very big hands across Birmingham in the boot of a TR7. Three of us were going to visit some nurses. I very nearly asphyxiated due to the leaky exhaust pipe, but fortunately there was plenty of medical assistance at hand. I nearly asphyxiated later too, but that is a different story and has no relevance on this website.

I have read somewhere that the TR7 was intended to do 200mph on the mulsanne Shocked Shocked and is still around somewhere.

I'm not sure if the car made it to France, it was entered twice I think it may have non started both times.

Amazing to think that the car was intended to race against 935's, M1's, 512's and the like.

Even the wildest imagination couldn't guess this one Steve. It involved a tin of pineapple chunks though.

Very similar Steve, but mine was a big catering size tin. It all went terribly wrong just as I got to the "Ford Chicane".

Oh, happy days.

Not till next month for the fifth test. Looks like it will be all over bar the shouting if it continues like it did yesterday.  Angry
