Hi
We will be camping in Garage Bleu this year.. any idea where / how we can manage to get a shower, when waking up after a drinking session?

Apart from BigH and his golden shower i recommend make your own. Easiest way take a watering can fill with warm water and pour over head. Our own shower is an old beer barrel pressurised with a tyre pump connected to shower hose simple but boy do you feel refreshed and ready for that morning beer afterwards.

Sure somebody will confirm/deny if there are showers on Blue...
Or buy a solar shower. They're pretty good. Alternatively, you can buy leccy ones that plug into the fag lighter and they're good value too.

There are showers , but they are few and far between . And are next to the toilets and sewage point.
The ones at the entracne by Maison Blanche are ok , but the queue's are huge .
Try buying a £3 paddling pool and filling with water, Nice and refreshing.

But remember to take swimming trunks with you, as the French won't let you wear swimming shorts in public pools.

Why is that? Gilles? Anyone? Always seemed a bit odd to me. Does it upset the French idea of "style"?

That could be a good idea.. last year we talked about going on the motorway, and try to find a gasstation with showers available (for truckers maybe), but we did'nt actually go. I also think it could have proven to be difficult to find one. Do you have some info on howto find a swimming-park Gilles, and would you happen to know if they are open on that weekend? (an adress would be great, ofcourse ) Mvh. Finn

Swim shorts not allowed? Surely that refers to cut-offs or normal shorts, not actual swimwear shorts?
