In the mid Seventies there was a very neat little mini running at Santa Pod and Blackbush drag strips called 'Stripteaser'. Based on a Mini traveller, it had a 4.2 litre Jag lump in it,positioned where the front seats should be, the driver sat to the right above the rear wheel. It went like stink, and always got a good cheer. Last I heard they had managed to squeeze a 5.3 V12 in , but a never saw that running.

No. I'm just a mad drag racing fan. I have a whole load of Santa Pod photos from the 70's / 80's / 90's that I'm (very) slowly scanning to my PC.

Steve - have you anything in your archive on a Jnr Comp Alt '32 Ford Model B, with a 4.5 Daimler SP called "All Shook Up"? It's from the era you've coverered and ran a lot at the Pod. My brother in law Ricardo bought this car in mid 80's and I drove it for him for a couple of seasons. Sadly we lunched the SP450 but put in an ex Dave Grady 460ci big block Ford, and re-christened it "Red Roar". It would be great to see some shots of it, if you have any. Matt

But he reckons No. May have to stick with the little engine, especially if sponsorship requests keep coming in . Morgan . MG etc etc

Steve Thanks for digging out the photos of Stripteaser, the older steel bodied one is the one that I remember, even that used to embarrass lot flasher machinery. Photo circa 1971? Fond memories as a 14 year old sitting at Blackbush supping beer watching these cars running the 1/4.

Very impressive Matt. What's it like to drive one of those things down a strip?
