Rashly, I will be back this year with both almost grown up children, Tristan and Esmeralda.

Tristan's first Le Mans was 2011 when he was 11, but this year will be my daughter Esmeralda's first - I'm sure we all remember our first trip.

Out from Pompey on the Tuesday night, back Sunday night.

Camping on Epinettes.

Unless I get the old M5 sorted quickly, including some potentially expensive engine work, it will be a very dull drive in a Ford Mondeo.

I remember bringing my boys for the first time, although they were a bit older.  The eldest in 2016 and the younger one in 2018.  The younger one has come back in 2019, 2022 and 2023 (with his partner) while the older one came back in 2018 and then said he wasn't coming back again until he was working there.  He spannered for Nielsen in 2020 and Algarve Pro (G-Drive) in 2021, ironically the two years out of the last 38 that I had to miss!   Wink

Usual spot in Houx with Drinking for Holland and welcoming Werner and team Le Mans Zone for the first time Grin

Also Andy S, Ewan plus the regulars

Arriving Wednesday am into Dieppe from Newhaven and back out late Monday evening from Caen

 Roll on June

Me & Mrs D are coming over on Newhaven-Dieppe on Wednesday overnight, back on Monday afternoon.
Must remember not to sleep in on the boat this year. Last time, Mrs shook me awake saying we were in dock with the engines stopped... cue panicked run to the car deck apologetically waving to all the people blocked in behind our car ...

Team Pretzel (wife & I) in the trusty 🤞 Cayman.

Out Pompey Weds night, back from Caen following Tuesday.

Staying @ Hotel de France @ La Chartre-sur-le Loir. I'd recommend a visit there if you get the opportunity. For those that aren't aware of the history, take a look online.... (I have no affiliation with them, apart from being a guest there for the last few years). Always something interesting to see 👍

Looking forward to some competitive racing.

My car is Diesel so no need to worry about Petrol. :-)   I've seen a few interesting cars down there and it's a pleasant drive too.

Arriving Hippo Weds - sometime after lunch and cider shopping further north.
Return Monday via something to do with D-Day but undecided as to what at this point in time.

Very much looking forward to it.
