Deviated from mdt's "what's it like on MB" thread:

Anyone who wants to contribute to the MB/CA map, please send details to me at at rick@maisonblanche.co.uk and I'll get it sorted!!!

Estimated arrival date, usual/rough estimate of pitch, vehicles likely and any banners, inflatable objects etc. that might aid visual recognition etc.....!

Cheers

Rick

Rick,
We've learned a few lessons from last year.
Our crew is leaving in what's affectionately known as 'The Mothership' at the beginning of next week. It's an early start I know, but they're aiming to loop around the moon, pass behind the sun and get a gravity slingshot towards MB.
Around April our brave lads (and lasses) will be using a combination of gravity, gin and aerobraking before bouncing to rest in MB in June. If all goes well, and it'll be a nailbiting time for sure, I'm expecting to receive over the ether grainy black and white photos of a rock and beer bottle strewn field on the Sunday night. Cries of delight will go up and whisky will go down back in Mission Control Nether Wallop.

Just remember to drink the spirit rather than name the mothership Spirit coz the track record on that one isn't good so far!! And remember to leave the beagle at home, because even if it makes the trip it will be about as much use as a one-legged man at an arse-kicking party!!  Grin

Rick do you want the photos after the glorious event to add to your site.

If not  -

My Le Mans 2004 photos will be available to be seen at MG X Power forums .com .

Very impressive Rick!! You'll have to get on MB early if you want to repeat the shade of the trees. The earliest we ever arrived was the Tuesday and the tree proximity is a no-no by then already!! Half of the MB posse are arriving Wednesday this year, but at the moment, I'm not arriving until Friday!!! The first time I will have missed a practice session in 7 years!! Trying desperately to redress the situation.

The WANCS are going a day earlier this year..so expect us at the end of Feb.!!
No seriously we are leaving on the Monday night ferry,so will be on site by Tuesday midday, allowing for the usual stop in Sees for breakky.Probably be near the lower bogs so we can link into the power and for best viewing of the cess pit emptying while trying to swallow a cumberland sausage.
Might try to electronically chip a turd or two and trace its journey to the sewage dump...or as it probably is,that ditch outside camping blue.
Put a welsh flag in one last year but then proceeded to do a slurry on the top of it and knackered it completely.
