Bit of a sausage fiend meself like. Tend to over indulge when at Lemons and have had a few dodgy ones for sure to counter the gastronomic bunk-ups. Any pointers either way? Good or bad? And should this degenerate into a toilet story like my cycling post did before this year's race, I apologise unreservedly now!

If you are heading down the A 10 on the way to Dover , stop at Braughing, just south of Roystan. The butcher in the village makes IMHO the best sausages in the south. No fancy ingrediants, just top quality. Best to stick to normal size ones, receipe doesn't work quite so well with chipolatas.

You could also try 'simply sausages' on www.simplysa.dircon.co.uk. Top quality nosh, plus they do mail order. They used to have a shop just around the corner from me in Berwick street market but closed it last year.....BASTARDS !!! You should try Ledenhall market too. There is a geezer there who sells the best cumberlands I've ever tasted( usually bring a sack of them to LM) plus a huge variety of everything imaginable you could shove into a banger (none of your gay veggie stuff tho...carnivors only). Bangers away old bean. Rusty

Cheers Rusty!! Leadenhall Market eh? Used to be a broker in Lloyds of London just round the corner. Used to get stuff to take home to my paltry bedsit for tea from there, so could well have tried those!! Also got severely hammered on schnapps at Copenhagen Reinsurance in Leadenhall too!! Ah those were the days .. over 20 years ago!!

I find the sausages served on the inner side of Tertre Rouge quite delicious, with a bit of mustard, mmhhhhh. Oh my Lord - those are the stinking turds of Bielzibub himself! Any so-called 'sausage' purchased from the environs of the track is highly likely to harm you - I speak from many years of bitter experience. The cheese-bratworst I was served at Wrigley Field ranked fairly high on my 'bad-sausage-meter', but that merguez sh*t is a baaad rectum-rocket (with apologies to Fax'n'Figures). See ya at MCO a week on Friday John - roll on Rolex.
