Is it just me of did anyone else receive speeding tickets from the fixed (Gatso) type cameras this year (more so than before)?

Historically I have been flashed uncountable times by these things and never yet received a ticket UNTIL THIS YEAR - when I received TWO!

One on the way down - Neauphe Sous Essai
Way back Le Mans Vers Alencon

Only a few clicks over the limit both times - but still €45 each way to pay Les Flics!

Have the rules changed? Are they trying to fleece the Brits before we Brexit? Or did I just get unlucky??

Three of my mates also got the fixed penalty notice, I think the option has always been there in the past for them to chase up Brits, but they have never bothered.  Maybe the French government are short of cash!

Rules changed fairly recently to allow foreign countries access to the DVLA database to chase offenders caught speeding in their country.
It is a reciprocal arrangement but I bet it's not being used on French motorists speeding in UK.

How far over the limit were these?
Would be useful to know what we can get away with, compared with GB.

I saw the paperwork from one of our group who got caught in an 80kph limit and it looked like there was a 5kph allowance, so barely any at all!

6th May 2017 / 18 was one of them they allowed Europe to access our records to send speeding enforcements. Looks like many many people got them this year.

Thank you Gentlemen, useful information, looks like less of a leeway than in UK.

Anybody else with figures please post so we can get a good overview.
