Well people here will attest that that is common for me, but wow, what a schedule. You aren't even away from JFK for 48 hours and there is a 24h race in the middle of that!!
Impressed with your dedication/concerned at your madness (delete as appropriate!) :-)

I think that's a given! I've done a few mad trips in the past (Spa and back in a day for the WEC, ALMS @ Mosport then ALMS @ Detroit then Silverstone 24hrs all in consecutive weekends) but JFK-LM-JFK within 48 hours wins the prize for a quick trip in my book. I trust you are travelling with a decent carrier and in some decent seats what could possibly go wrong....

Le Mans - the how you get there is not quite as important as being there.

...me? I'll be driving the LR Defender with the kit in for our 2 seater friends in the group!
Years ago it was quite common to see a convoy of 2 seaters, followed by a big estate, with full length roof rack, bulging with luggage, tents, spare wheels, spare starter motors, fan belts, hoses and other parts. I'll admit I've got a full suite of tow ropes...

My lot and Elanman's lot, total of around a couple of dozen, arriving at various times, via various routes, from the Tuesday afternoon to the Friday.
All on Epinettes again this year.
Looking forward to seeing all hopefully at some point on the campsites or in the circuit.

Leighla and myself out Wednesday morning Pompey-Caen. Borne upon a magic Rover 110, we will waft down in gentlemanly style, smoking a pipeful of something exceedingly mellow and aromatic. We have optics fitted in the rear lounge and some ice cold champagne so the journey should be very pleasant.
Back Monday from Le Havre feeling ill.
