Over here we have Avon CR36 radials which are a road legal comp tyre. Loads of grip but won't last two minutes when 'pressing on' over large distances.

Good, correct speed rated 15" tyres are getting quite rare. Avon CR6ZZ are a good race / road tyre (although not much tread depth and a softer compound). http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/page/avon-cr6zz

I called Avon Motorsport direct today. Got a good trade price and saved around £220 on a set even with carriage.
