I'm at the end of my tether, and this Yankee is getting no answers from my side of the "Big Pond". Can anyone tell me if the Porsche 910 shown at this website

http://www.prova.de/archiv/2001/00-artikel/0002-Porsche-910/index.shtml

actually has some history behind it? Is the livery truly representative of what some RACING Porsche 910 wore from 1968 through 1970-odd, or are the markings merely specious and ornamental in preparation for its inevitable, unending role as auction-fodder?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Salutations, Robbo. The link is good, but the page requires (for me) about 30 seconds to produce the 910 pictures (located just below the title "Porsche 910: Der erste Schritt zum Titel"). One-Mississippi, Two-Mississippi, Three-Mississippi...

By the way, everyone: I've already translated the site's accompanying text, and -- of course -- it yielded nothing regarding the subject 910's lineage, or else I wouldn't be asking my silly questions in the first place.

Ta!
