Make sure to get enough sleep before and during race week. It's grueling out there working trackside especially in those rainy conditions ... Sundaymorning was like hell for me after a 2 hour power nap. Struggled to stay awake & didn't manage too many decent shots anymore.
Might have to stick to a tighter shooting plan next year, missed a lot of locations I really wanted to go to now. But did manage to learn a lot about the track again.

On the subject of "not over until its over", Toyota have revealed the details of the fault that befell the #5;
Car #5 had a technical defect on a connector on the airline between the turbo charger and the intercooler, causing a loss of turbo control.

So basically a ten buck widget has wrought all this gnashing and wailing of teeth. Wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last, but it's a particularly cruel example of the genre.

Don't go to mad on the beer Sunday evening if you are driving Monday. Got pulled for a random breath test at the peage before Rouen at 9.30.

Some how in the RLM cometary we heard rain at levels 1 - 4 and rain at Level 42.... I think that's what hit us in the square after the parade when looking for something to eat.

1.We learned how to smuggle 3 litres of wine and 10 cans of beer from Houx to trackside for the long night on Saturday at Tetre Rouge. 2. We re-lived past pleasures by leaving the circuit and driving back to Rouen via the D338 rather than the auto routes. Road was empty, scenery beautiful and brought back some happy memories.

Quel age avez-vous? Vous êtes en train d'apprendre cela? I see you've been on CA five years so you have at least that many...sheessshhh!!! The rain? Ovals, you don't have to worry about it...you know it ain't happening. Any real racing (road courses) it's a given. The finish? Ain't that true about anything?
