Has anyone had ferry crossings cancelled due to impending blockade?
A friend has had her crossing (Monday 13th arriving 6am Tuesday 14th) cancelled.

Not as yet, I think Lynx phoned Brittany last week who said the Le Havre crossings would be cancelled, but the other routes would run with one or two hour delays. This certainly fits the pattern of the last few strikes, although I would guess that Cherbourg might be a bit dodgy as well. I'm on the St Malo boat leaving Monday evening so will report back.

I had a quick look on the Brittany site today and they are still currently pretty much as you have noted. Pompey - Le Havre sailings cancelled for today, Monday and Tuesday. Pompey - Caen all departures today delayed 1-2 hours, tomorrow afternoons actually brought forward 15mins. All other services unaffected so far. I'm going early am on the 15th I'll certainly be keeping an eye on it as the 14th threatens more widespread industrial action.

Just received the following from Brittany Ferries;
We are sorry to advise that due to a general strike in France, the port workers in Caen are taking industrial action. As a result, your sailing on Tuesday 14 June will be delayed and will now depart Portsmouth at 00h30, arriving into Caen at 08h00. Latest check-in 23h45. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Is the Brittany crossing from Portsmouth to Le Havre cancelled for Tuesday night?
I have not received anything from them, nor can I find anything on their website.

Looks like a two hour delay from Poole Which gets me to BN later, but gives me an hour or two in the Poole pottery shop buying 'coming home' pressies Bugger.

Yes Le Have is one of the union hot spots and at the last general strike in May the ferries were cancelled for three days running. Expect the same next week sadly. Brittany Ferries advise me that their other routes all expect delays of an hour or two at worst. A note about your return. I arrived in the UK yesterday and it took an hour to get through passport control at Portsmouth. I am on the overnight to Caen Monday with the XKSS so fingers crossed!

Not so. Had no message on the matter but expect perhaps a delay on arrival.
