OK, if you were the ACO entertainments officer what would be the ultimate band for the Saturday night concert?
Rules: (1) Bands have to be the original line up and therefore alive! (2) No disco!

Original line ups is a problem, would exclude Stones, AC/DC, Springteen, Sabbath, Floyd, Joy Division etc.
Might be able to russell up the original line up of Deep Purple, don't think any of them are dead yet, unless I missed an obituary.
Most of the bands I love only have 1 member left alive, if that.
Can you relax the rules a bit?

Sorry Barry, rules are rules.
I wanted to keep out shadow bands like Fleetwood Mac. There was only ever one Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green.
I'm going to start with Budgie and/or Blackberry Smoke.

Have they played together in a band? Homme played in Iggy's band at Later with Jools Holland a few weeks ago. Think they recorded Iggy's latest album (which is great btw) together with a new band (few guys from QOTSA, Iggy and Arctic Monkeys ... not sure about the last one though) Hope they'll play together at Werchter in a few weeks. |

Listen to Snapshot by The Strypes, released about 3 years ago, kicking rhythm n blues and then look up how old the band were when it was released.
