My mother and father and in law gave me this great present for Christmas, a book by Brian Laban called "Le Mans 24 hours".

I dare say it's been discussed on here before, but for what it's worth, in my view, it's a terrific book. It has a very detailed section on the history of LM, some terrific pictures and a blow by blow account of many races. Some books like this look good, but once you scratch the surface, they reveal their flaws. On the other hand, the more you look at Laban's book the better it gets.

It's really got me looking forward to my pilgrimage to the race this year.

Nice one!  I got the F1 year book of 2003-2004 and was very pleasantly suprised - a good read with articles from Nigel Roebuck, and other journos of similar standing of Italy, Germany, etc....

Also got a great DVD on the Greatest Years of British Rallying.
