Spotted this tough looking 4x4 up a mountain, bloke used it to get to work each day. Much better than a bull bar and fairy lights.

Hi Lofty,
Made bu Mattracks in Minnesotta USA. Not cheap but very effective when used in snow or soft ground. Here in Ontario we have some similar but only used on ATV's

Hi Lofty,
These mount up to the existing drive train so only slightly more complicated than changing wheels. Raises the ride height quite a bit which is a good thing in heavy snow.
