Hi there,

a few of Team LeMansZone will be visiting the next WEC round at the Nring on 30th August. Any other CA memebers going? Shall we meet some where?

Best

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Mhhh... the Belcar 24hs at Zolder is at the same weekend and to be honest for me this is more appealing at the moment.

Why oh why do they start the race at the Nürburgring as late as 13:00 on Sunday lasting until 19:00 ? And after the race you have the usual chaos getting to the A1 or A61. People have to work on Monday. The usual ignorance of the Nürburgring organisation shines through very bright. Why don't they have the race on Saturday ? Oh yes, who needs spectators if you can fake the attendance figures.

The Zolder 24hs are nearly the same format, GTs mixing it with prototypes. Albeit at a lower level but you still have the same mix of classes. Let's make it a "small Le Mans" which starts on Saturday at 16:00. Tickets are cheaper too and you can camp there.

Links:
24 Hs of Zolder - http://www.circuit-zolder.be/en/events/24-hours-zolder-0
6 Hs of Nürburgring - http://www.nuerburgring.de/events-tickets/automobil/fia-wec-6-hours-of-nuerburgring.html

I clearly prefer Zolder... and I haven't been there for ages.

I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

Depends on your travel dates and times,  we are going on the tunnel Friday morning, returning early afternoon Tuesday.  As we are taking the Disco we need the high section and even 6 weeks ago there wasn't much left for the Bank Holiday Monday, so we just decided to have an extra day and stay somewhere up near Calais (but not too close).
I would def skip the ferries if you have an allergy to screaming kids running around everywhere!

We would have to come back Monday, so feet up with a few bottles of beer and watching the WEC app coverage on a 42'' screen.
