Ok, I know that the trackside beer isn't the best, but sometimes a beer in a LM 24 cup is what you need.
But I'm not sure about the strength. I seem to recall being told that it was special "event" beer, brewed to be low alcohol. Is that right?

Urban legend I think. All I can say about trackside beer is that it is staggeringly expensive! Best to bring your own, but avoid glass bottles in the GE or you risk confiscation by the bottle police! The beer served in the Red Diner in the Village had a weird fruity taste to it, and it was about €9 for 50cl.
Next year, will look out for cans at SuperU, no glass bottles for us from 2016.

In theory glass bottles are not permitted in the circuit. I say in theory as there were large numbers around, and the efforts of security to stop them getting in appeared variable.
6 euro for the beer seems expensive to me, certainly I only bought 3 beers trackside (all in PH bar), and just brought cans in from the campsite to drink.

€6.5 for a beer (£4) comparable really, an extra €1 for the cup. What they don't tell you, is you can buy the cup on its own for €1. Great if, like me, you want to collect them.

We just used the time inside the circuit to allow some recuperation from the copious consumption of beer and wine enjoyed outside the circuit at all other times......

Why is that? Aricus We were checked on the way out of Houx for glass bottles. Beer in plastic bottles was fine. And the prices in the Village were just over €9 for 50cl.
