Sorry Guys - just trying to liven up some of the threads with some of my snaps from last year - I seem to be failing the intelligence test when it comes to posting...

I want to post small JPG files (less than 100kb) - I "Browse" the attach box, then open the image and I can see the file route appear in the attachment box. However once I press the post button, no joy.

Any top tips for the technically challenged?

Thanks Toad

You must ensure the file is less than 100kb by resizing or modifying the file.

Assuming you've done that okay, your description of Browse, Select File, Open, Post sounds right.

Have you received any error message?

I sometimes have the same problem Mr T. I don't know how I fix it, but it just seems to clear. Not very helpful, I must admit.

Sometimes you get a message about the upload folder being full, in which case PM me and I will contact someone to clear it.

Also I had problems with very small pictures as well as large ones.

Keep trying anyway

Thanks - I haven't had any error messages and my files are small (c10kb) - I'll try a bigger one to see if that makes any difference....

Just for the record - I think I've got it...I wonder if trying to preview the message before posting screws the attachment up? This is what I was doing before, but bypassing has just worked on another thread...

True.  I've never previewed the message at all before.  I just attach the (below 100k) picture and hit 'post'.

The 'preview' bit must reconfigure the rastas or download the uplink or disengage the lay shaft......

....or something like that ??
