I remember the days when the Marlboro girls used to hand out ciggies at the GP!

Fags and Rothmans chrome plated lighters. Anyone remember the Kuros 1000km at Silverstone? We got given aftershave samples! T he smell was overwellming i was nearly sick, god knows what other spectators thought. We  invented our own slogan " Kuros. For the mans who does'nt give a sh*t". All in all a very smelly weekend.

What was the advert on RLM - I'll be with you in a Jiffi.  I never did see any of their condoms for sale

Sadly, the only freebie that I remember getting was a Yokohama Advan fan that I got given on a decidedly cold day at Donnington.

That was less use than a condom.

I think the French have a ban on cars sponsored by alcoholic drinks companies competing (unless they are French!)

May have imagined it, but cannot think of one in the last 10 or so years.

It seems they banned all alcohol (and tobacco) advertising in 1991.  Some of the politicians thought their reputation for being alcoholics needed improving.

Didn't Bruichladdich sponsor the Greaves car?

It is true that in France, booze sponsorship is forbidden, but Bruichladdich is also the name of a river and a village, plus the Frogs never caught-on to the fact that it was malt whisky. I remember asking the 'booze sponsorship' question at the time, and the response I got was "shhh!".

looks like the new Honda ARX-04b LMP2 has been returned to its makers, HPD. so the ESM team are now having to look for another car, most likely a Liger.

(Can they even change chassis now they have an entry)

Whats the betting they will be the first team to pull out?

Tequlia Patron tent was great fun at Silverstone, prices as follows.
5 squid for a shot,8-9 for a yummy cocktail.
Bloody Mary  tequila drink was ace.
Shame their car was disquailified from 3rd cause it woreout the scaffold plank!
Hopefully they will be at LM next to the Guinness tent would be handy.
