14 P1 and 20 P2. This could be the start of a great era for Sportscar Racing. Even this years poster has a more traditional look than the last few .

What, no Dunlop Bridge! I think it will take a long time before the new pit straight leaderboard will be as evocative..... Agree about the healthy entry list though. Here's hoping the majority make it to qually and the start.

As first reserve, if past years are any guide, the Viper has a very good chance of being on the grid.

Looks like a vintage year.
I can't see a Garage 56 entry - is that one announced later?

No garage 56 this year, apparently.

The Garage 56 entry is normally (if there is anything normal about Garage 56) announced a year ahead of time. The first was the original Ben Bowlby designed Deltawing (not the current Panoz ugly beast) in 2012, then it was going to be the Swiss designed hydrogen powered GreenGT H2 but that was not ready in time to race in 2013. In 2014 is was going to be the Nissan ZEOD RC (also designed by Ben Bowlby and a true evolution of the original Deltawing). Unfortunately Mr Panoz got jealous of it and put his lawyers to work. That put an end to the future of the G56 entry in 2014. There was a rumour that SARD were planning a Garage 56 Entry for 2015 but nothing has materialised. It looks very much like the ACO might quietly retire the G56 concept after three years drought since the Deltawing. No garage 56 this year, apparently.

A healthy LMP1 and LMP2 field - but also not forgetting the 22 various Ferraris, Corvettes, Astons and 911s in GTE. A good year in prospect.
I can't remember the last time we had 4 works teams with 3 cars apiece in LMP1.....Group C days?

Not to be picky, but we still don't. Toyota's only got two.

To compare 2015 with Group C days...
In 1988 I think that there were 2 car works teams in C1 from Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota and Nissan.
So there were ten top class works prototypes in total in 1988 from five manufacturers compared with eleven cars from four manufacturers in 2015.
