I admit I'm new to the Club Arnage Forums, but I've known some of the people involved in a racing team called Brookspeed (based in Southampton) and I plan to go to Le Mans next year with some friends, between my GCSEs (yes, I am that dumb).
I need help on what the hell is going on with the ACO and tickets. It seems a bit weird with the fact they tell you very little till about 3 months before LM.

Anyway, I'm looking for people that have been to Le Mans to help me here.

I need to know when we should buy camping tickets, now or later, and I want to kno what camping site is best.

Any other help would be appreciated.

I am going to go pillion on a CBR because I'm only 15 (16 in January) so can't ride down myself yet).

Welcome to the caberet old chum,
You show great timing and judgement in your decision to attend next years race. I suggest that you stay in my tent, 15 year olds are always welcome, and don't forget it's a naturist site. What subjects are you taking for GSCE?
So that's the camping taken care of then, now as to the ACO, I find they respond best to flattery, hard cash and violence, but be careful they don't try and sell you tickets to the Macedonian Gypsy Circus that is usually passing through LM at that time. They won't make this clear, and the tickets look exactly the same.

Errr.. thanks.

Is there really a portable bar at Le Mans that comes down every year, because I might go for a few drinks?

And what is the legal age for drinking booze in France, because I want to know if I'll get served?

OK OL dont mind H, we all go a bit strange at times.

Go to lemans.org which is the official site.  From there you can find a link to the ticket office, and send them an e-mail.  You just ask for however many circuit passe that you wnat (sounds like 2) and a camping pitch.  You will need to quote your name and adress in the e-mail, or they wont accept it.

Camping is the real tricky bit.  It gets to be abit of a lottery, and even very experienced chaps sometinmes end up where they don't want to be.  Many folk on this forum prefer Maison Blanche for camping whilst other prefer Houx or Houx Annex.  Frankly you can ask for whatever you want, and you'll just get allocated with something.

Book now...........don't leave it any later.  They will eventually send you a confirmation form which has to be returned with payment.. This can take months.

On the topic of beer drinking, I would not like to encourage a chap of your years to get involved with the filthy stuff, but the bars around the course are pretty open, very busy, and I shouldn't think many people will look twice.  No idea what the legal age is in France. (Too old to care)

Oppositte locker , first of all , i am obliged to ask if you are a true "SCUMMER" . I am not a pompey fan , but have the joy of living here.

Beer - In supermarkets ( best place to stock up - you can get at least 2, 30 bottle crates on your lap on the rear of a CBR ) They will serve you all day. The french are very ofay with teenagers doing the booze and tabs thing, but dont like them doing the spirits , they get a little grizzly .

Camping - At worst get anywhere , anything. later you  maybe able to change them on this site .

Are there only 2 of you going Huh??  Dont forget the luxuries a biker can have at le mans - 2 pairs of socks and a pair of undies.

who are you going with ??

Hey nice to find a forum that isn't totally male! Grin

There will be at least 6 of us going, me, my friend, my eighteen year old brother, my friend's dad, and two of my friend's dad's friends, which I know.
Anyway, if any Pompey scum are around all I can say is 2-0!

Only joking, I don't care where you come from much.
