Not even stirring...

Probably a bit misleading as a title of a topic but I thought it might stir a few members into life...

Apart from waiting for confirmation of the tickets I have eagerly been waiting for Condor to open up their sailing times for the year, now that they have I am a little horrified at the price bit the are spending £50m on a new trimaran!

Other than that I have spent the last few months gutting the lounge because of a little rising damp so took the plaster of all the walls, had one treated and then decided to pull down the ceiling, horrible lathe and plaster, and then also put a new floor down along with new windows. Crap plasterer and £5k down the road just for the waterproofer and the plasterer I have finally finished filling the waves on the alcoves and painted everything, five times, but her indoors is quite pleased when she is speaking... I think.
While waiting for the new front door, composite fibreglass and uPVC, I decided to repaint the whole hall and stairs including all the woodwork and doors, which I did last year after rebuilding the stairs. This is easier before the new carpet goes down. I had sunday afternoon off and felt quite guilty! New lights for the lounge arrived today so I will put those up at the weekend with the new shutters...
And people ask why I do nothing and move very little when I am at Le Mans - sometimes I wonder too!

Cheers all...

Hi Martini,
And i thought I was busy. I had to sit down with a beer after reading that. No wonder you need a rest at LM.

Martin - impressive!

For me, the good news is that my slipped disk is about fixed. As I did it a few days before LM this year, and it made it very very, I am going to make up for it next year.

Besides that, much the same - just getting a house extension going, putting my mum's house together after it was flooded last December - she moves back next week after 49 weeks! But unlike you Martin, I'm really just the project manager.

But the really good news is that as I am completely off all the prescription pain killing drugs, I can drink again!!!! Surprisingly, it didn't take long for me to find my drinking feet again, err...  you know what I mean.

I'm in a hurry to make up for 2014.
