Looks horrendous but wouldn't surprise me if the German's manage to get a car to the start. Fingers crossed for Duval.

Yep, the reports are he was walking and gone to hospital for a check.

Concussion would be the worry so the reserve driver should get a call up assuming the car can rebuilt.

Man that tub is utterly destroyed! It cannot race, surely? Do they have a T car or whatever?

Looks like they have a spare tub to build up. Jesus, that was a Mo-Fo of a shunt, glad Duval's in one piece.

Both car and driver WILL make the second qualifying session on Thursday evening!
Big pat on the back to the Audi engineers for building such a solid car.

In a way I'm glad that the camera missed that crash.  The aftermath was bad enough - the commentary on British Eurosport feared the worst.

Glad Duval is AOK - apparently Audi were going to change 70% of the components anyway, so the increase in workload wasn't as big as everyone might think - they should make Qually tomorrow pretty easily apparently.

Yes I've been watching Eurosport too, looks like Audi will be fine. The Bamboo Aston looks a lot the worse for wear tonight too.

I do wish they wouldnt do the ARTY shots of moon, big wheel and the rest  Sad

Makes me pine for the pines of HA

And even the bungee armchair looks nearly inviting   Shocked

Has Big Irta made it into Camp Carnage safely? Anyone?

I've been worriting about that since I heard the new no truck tales

Keep it fun guys and see y'all next year

Big hit for sure. Duval has been replaced by Gene from the jota car for the race. Don't know who replaces gene.

Watching the Eurosport footage it looks like Audi sent crew to the scene during the recovery, I assume to make safe the energy recovery system. I hope it was a precaution, rather than the car being in a dangerous electrcal state.

Know what you mean. Have to keep thinking of the queues for the showers and loos's, expensive and warm beer, dusty/muddy fields, hot/cold tent, but then I realise I love all that as well.

The car is rebuilt, apparently they had the majority bolted on by midnight!

I hadn't seen this pic until today, pretty alarming how it got over the wall into the debris fencing.
