On Tuesday 9th, the ACO announced that Rebellion’s minimum weight would be lowered by 40 kgs to 810 kgs and also their fuel allowed per lap will be unrestricted and fuel flow increased.

This will narrow the gap between them and the LM P1-H cars.

Tuesday, the 9th???

Is changing the rules arbitrarily a good thing for racing tho'Huh

When do we start doing it mid-race then???

Is that what we want? Changes just to put on a good show?

This is likely to be discussed at some length in/by the motor racing fraternity..........., there are several possible reasons for the change (some good , some bad), but in essence changing the rules this close to the race sets a very unfortunate precedent. If as a result Rebellion were to get on the podium, let alone win, all hell will break loose.
I am all for close racing, but the main teams have designed their cars (to win) around the rules (assuming that they would be applicable in June) only to turn up and find the goalposts have moved.

(too)

I wouldn't mind a failure by the rest, so that they could win,; but it's not what I wish for...
