I find myself on Tetre Rouge this year for the first time. Anyone with any experience of this campsite?

Hi Steve,
While I have never stayed on Tetre Rouge it has the advantage of being within the track. Entrance off the road that become Mulsanne straight so handy to the Tram and Carrefour. Very different in the last few years. Most camper seem to be in caravans if that is not a contradiction  Smiley Fenced in to give a pretence of security but that just makes it look like a cage of monkeys  Grin On a good day you can see the track from your tent but nost of the time just the arses of a bunch of spectators  Grin I guess i will get to see what it looks like from inside the fence when i come to collect that beer you owe me  Grin or will by the time i walk all the way from Blu Nord.
BN has the Bretheren bash within earshot and the constant assault of helicopters to keep us on our toes. The warm welcome extended by Werner and the Liverpool boys to name just two makes being folded up like a pretzel on an Airbus endurable.  Roll Eyes

Just don't ask Steve to bring you any snacks to go along with the beer...  Wink

And just enough time to recover before being squashed back into the passenger seat of the Frogeye  Smiley

I had a bag of beef flavoured Monster Munch the last two years but succumbed to the irresistable delights of those corn based bad boys before Andy could get to them. No chance this year as I'm travelling by train and will not be able to resist them en route. It'll have to be a beer on me this year!

Is it possible to buy a camping permit at the gate on arrival? I'd heard that BSJ always has a few available.

We stay on Pincenardiere next door.
Don't think you can get tickets on the gate as Lofty said.
Then again, I have never tried!!

These are still available on the ACO website. Or you can take
your chances there will be some left from Le Rotunde.

My advice is book in advance and collect from there.......
IT IS GOING TO BE BUSY THIS YEAR

All grandstands are fully booked.
The ACO are calling ticket dealers asking to buy tickets back.

Speaking to my friends in LM and Brian at 1st Tickets,
They are contemplating putting up new temporary
Grandstands

I can order tickets from the ACO. Where do I collect them from and could I collect them at the weekend as I'd be arriving on either the 6th or 7th of June.

Don't forget the ACO campsites will not be open until the Monday 9th.
