You could browse the 2013 guide for an intro to the event: http://www.clubarnage.com/caguide/

What there is joy for any motor racing enthusiast!
As others have said, best to download the guide and have a good read, but if you plan on camping you need to get a move on. Also best ferries, especially for the return on Monday will by now be beginning to fill.

Thanks for the help so far guys, been reading the guid thingy and it's giving me a good idea!

Should be booking tomorrow, I'm planning getting a 6.50am ferry from Dover Thursday morning  then camping and travelling back Monday although not sure what time to go for on the ferry! Any further advice on these plans would again be greatly appreciated for example which campsite is best???

Cheers guys

Thought your heading said it all...a "virgin wandering"  is what you will do the first year.  Generally, you can actually see the race at the start-finish down to Tetre Rouge, the Arnage turn and the Porsche Curves.  The rest is way out in the country...but the CA guide will tell you that.

Enjoy wandering!  It is worth it.

Thanks for the help guys, booked it up today, staying at the baseujour site, I know it might not the best but it's cheap and reasonably near to the main village thing (I don't mind walking!) also if I want to spend the extra in future I can!

Hope to see you guys there

...... reasonably near to the main village thing (I don't mind walking!)

It's further than you may think if you're doing it 5 or 6 times, I think there is a little train or navette these days now though which eases the walk a bit.

also if I want to spend the extra in future I can!

Enjoy your first year, the extra will be worth it in year two onwards ....

Bon course!
