I have decided to replace my modern camper with something with more character-

Is that the yellow peril?  If I hadnt experienced first hand the smell of burning as we thrashed back to Cherbourg I might have been tempted to make an offer!!

You can have her if you like, for a nominal sum.

The tired old rhetoric trotted out, which we have come to expect as a standard workshy response on such occasions.....so get the whisky out and give the grand old lady at least a little of the TLC that she so richly deserves, before she finally loses patience with this laggardly, shirking, foot-dragging approach of a slacker.  And because you know the alternative....

 Shocked

Idle in ownership, idle in explination. Roll Eyes

Come on, what, why and how? Tell us that it's gone to a loving home rather than foisted off to some Pikey who has bought it for his grand kids to burn out. And what shall take its place??

I don't recognise the shape or the reg no, despite the attempt to confuse with a dark, indistinct photgraph....unless...that is the grand old lady being subjected to the ignominy of a supposedly incognito departure loaded onto a trailer?

So much for the post on Page 1 and subsequent threats of the curse of the Commer:
If it is ever desired to retire the venerable Commer (or restrict it to supporting historic race meetings) the modern equivalents may be at hand......... Grin
In best Iain Paisley voice,  Never, Never, Never!!
The Commer is immortal, didn't you know?

But, if she has, indeed , been spirited away in the darkness from her ne'er do well now declared previous keeper, then aside from many pleasant memories, there is a question as yet unanswered (which takes us back to the start of 146 pages of the thread nearly 9 years ago, and still no 3 in the topics by views..) the modern Commer replacement is?.....

Official Zarse press statement:

We announce herewith the immediate disposal of the vehicle known as The Commer.

The new registered keeper wishes too remain anonymous at this time and further questions will not be fielded.

Statement ends.

You have quite a nerve, Sir, in light of your personal orders to destroy my beautiful and invincible VC10s.

You heartless swine!
