Well it's only a bloomin Airflow Meter, bung it on and lets have some class! HA screams out (discretely!) for class like the Niss, (even, dare one say it, the verdant pastures of HA Nord...)

Face it LPP, you have to have a good long ride to burn out all the rodentine peeedle from her nether passages, anyway.

And I'll have my screwdriver and multimeter juss in case

Thank you one and all.

I knew things were going my way when the MOT man, who's knocking on a bit these days, drove the Commer onto the ramp. He'd clearly forgotten that the front wheel track is much narrower than the rear and promptly dropped the inside wheel off the ramp and into the pit below. After much grunting, pushing and jacking we eventually got things on an even keel without too much damage. Prior to that he'd been muttering under his breath about brake balance needing to be within 25%. Needless to say, after him dropping a bloomer like that, I knew we were home and dry! Talk about laugh.

Every year there is a Le Mans coincidence on the way to the MOT test and I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen this time. That is until a rather dishy girl who was next in the queue for the test came up and saw the 2007 LM poster in the window. Then she started waxing lyrical to me about her mate's many trips to La Sarthe...  Smiley Wicked karma man.

Congrats Andy and the Mighty Commer Smiley.
Another box is ticked in the runup to Le Mans.
The excitement builds.
Which campsite is being graced with the presence of the Mighty Commer, and it's worthy crew?

Piggers,

Hope AFM arrives, you should have ordered 2 of them. Forward thinking to 2009.

I'll be a bit disapointed if the ol' beast doesn't make it.

Just done Oil and Filters on the Cav. Just not enough time for Nissan Shakedown even if the bits arrive from the Ahole at the owners club. Niss wont be going this year Sad

My Cousins wife is Japanese so I will try and get her to track down an NOS one from there, must be some kicking about.
All the second hand ones are the same age and same as the ITU,s are all failing. New is the only answer and new wont happen as last time I asked (Before Nissan Deleted all 300C parts) they were over a grand with shipping. Shocked

The Cav is smiling as she is back in favour Cool

Just a thought, but isn't there parts commonality across the range? Surely there's another big datsun which uses the same AMM.

The 300 ZX models used the same block but had different breathing and heads, hence a different AFM.

I was giving things some thought last night, and depending on how things pan out when we actually get there, I think there could be an extra vehicle in the Cavalcade from St Satunin this year.
