I think I'm correct in saying that I've never had a Kiwis undercarriage in my garage.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

I almost put my undercarriage in a kiwis garage once.

If I had all the money I've ever spent on drink, I think on balance, I'd probably spend it on drink.

Fantastic find Kev, apart from the decor. IIRC some Brits were in one a few years ago parked up on the outside of the circuit.

That is a few hundred thousand pounds worth! A bit more than the £320 I paid for the Commer!

Similar subject was being discussed at yahoo answers last week. I can post the link if needed.

I wonder if that lovely hunk is "external rickety ladder" or sumptuous internal spiral access stair?
Looks the biz for LM though, but needs hot and cold running waitresses to keep up its luxury ambience...
No, even the mighty Midget couldn't pull that onto the ferry up a shiny steel ramp.

I had a slightly less posh version of the above set up about 16 years ago. I got bored of tents and tent hangovers (bright sun at six AM with a splitting head is crap) and B&Bs were a tad expensive. A friend in the trade found us a lovely Cheltenham caravan from the mid sixties. Really posh it was, oak panelling and everything. A friend retrimmed the seating using a discarded green leather chesterfield and we found a few oil paintings for the walls. A set of crystal decanters and some posh wall lamps had it looking like the Dorchester Club within a week. We did two seasons of historic racing with it before selling it on. It was a heavy beast and the only thing that would pull it was my '64 Merc 300SE Fintail. Fuel bills finished it in the end, you were lucky to get 16mpg even without the van on the back! I remember going to Donnington one year to camp at some race meeting and my mate had bought smoking jackets, cravats, cig holders and brylcreem with him. Pillock. I'd love to have it now for the Classic. The Merc went to Bristol and a pikey bought the van for his kids to vandalise.

Didn't seem to affect driving the immortal Commer, although any giddiness might have derived from the scale of prior human replenishment/sustainment, rather than play in the steering box.... MG Mark
