A touch on the pricey side but track laps in a Porches or a Pescarolo are available. Bookings are available here:

This is a true story.

About  5 years ago we pitched up on Houx on  the Thursday and then set off to Carrefour for the weekly shop! We had a couple of new guys with us who wanted to see the track.

As we approached Terte Rouge (just before the tunnel) I noted that the barrier up the ramp leading onto the Mulsanne was open so assumed the Thursday mid day session had ended and so up we went only to be stopped by an RS4 pace car who said the track was still closed.....he then did a check and found then session had ended, looked at us and then suggested we follow him.  We were in two Porshes and an S4.

He lead us around the full track (briskly), pulled off at the pits and we carried on to we're we got on to the track.

I hit 165mph on the pit straight and can tell you that as you go under the Dunlop bridge the track seriously falls away, Indianapolis was awesome as was the Porsche curves.

A never to be repeated experience, but what an afternoon we had after that.

Unbelievable (but believable) tale Jem. Awesome experience. I've driven on the track from the emergency gate adjacent to Maison Blanche down to the start / finish line after the race before we were turned back by stewards.
What site are you on this year?
