Hi, any update on the flags??
Progress is being made on my plans for June, ferry booked and more importantly the car started and moved in and out of the garage under its own power for first time in over 7years last weekend! All i need to do now is get the dashboard installed, mot it and run it in before Le Trip.

Simon, what's the car?
The suspense is killing me My rusty brain recalls mention of a Jensen Interceptor.....but that might just be wishful thinking on my part as I have always fancied one Phil

Wishful thinking Phil.
Its a kit car, a Quantum 2+2, nothing exotic but a bit of fun/distraction from the regular driver.
I took it off the road after I had a prang in my every day car (another story) and wasn't allowed to drive for a year due to my head/brain injury. In my wisdom I decided to redesign the dash in the Quantum while I couldn't drive it, planned it, started it, got married, moved house, renovated house, had kids and now its finish or bin it time for the car. I should be heading to flock the new bit I made in a couple of weekends, then time to get the dial mounting bit dipped and then the whole thing back together and MOT'd by Easter. Sounds simple, just need to factor in work and family too!

I did a Tiger Super 6 from scratch a few years ago. Great car and I spent ages on the dash as some of the examples I saw were dreadful. I feel your pain though - they can take over your life!

Wow....just look at that XS! Beautiful then and beautiful now.
I hankered after one of these in '81, then thought I might get an XJ750 but, being barely financially stable and practically uninsurable, settled on an RD350LC, heady days.

Too right about taking over your life....just need to make it up to the family once she's back in the road. The Mrs and I built the Quantum from scratch, good use of her student loan all those years ago!!
I'll try and stick a picture on over the weekend Phil.

... or you can just go to Additional Options in the screen where you are posting a reply and add a photo!! File size is limited though, but still can be pretty big. There are laods of products to resize images, and I think you can do it directly in the Windows 10 (and maybe 7) image viewer.
