Chris,

Can't help with any specialist knowledge of the subject, but perservere....and fingers crossed.  Presume that specialist insurers (of which there seem to be a number via Google) have been tried?

Nothing of use to add here, but fingers crossed for your sister.   Has anyone spoken to the "Make a Wish" type organisations to see if they have any contacts?

Good luck, I really hope that this trip can happen for her. Best wishes to you and to your family at what must be a horrible time.

An update for everyone that kindly offered advice and help.

Thankfully the ombudsman found in my sisters favour about 3 days before the planned trip and they had to underwrite her insurance policy. So the family got to go to Florida together and she got to see her kids having fun making memories together as she had wanted. We all had a good time and it was nice to go on holiday together as a family after so many years. We got home from the holiday on 12th June and no medical care was needed on the trip.

Unfortunately in the 5 or 6 weeks since getting home, the cancer got worse and spread. Sadly my sister died at home yesterday afternoon. But we are grateful that we got to have those precious 14 days together in Florida before it was too late.

R.I.P  Elisa Ager. Love you always.

Chris -sorry to hear about the sad news of your sister - life can be a real bastard at times

But like you said, remember the good times, those precious 14 days in Florida as a family and kids. Best memory life could give you.

In the mean time, thoughts are with you and family

Neil

Chris, sorry to hear of your loss. You must be strong and remember the good times you had when growing up together which are very important years, and quite often very lasting memories.

Condolences to you and your family.

Condolences Chris. I'm so glad she got to spend that time in Florida with the kids. She was a real fighter to the end, you must be very proud of her.

Chris, I'm extremely sorry to hear the news about your sister. My best wishes to you and your family at this sad time. Take some solace in the fact that she was with her children and family and saw everyone happy before she left you.
Thoughts are with you buddy.
