The band is on the track, pure heavy metal with (some) thunder and lightning. And of course there is BIG ERTA!

Is the amazing ERTA (or is it IRTA?) still a feature of the funfair? I've never seen her 'in the flesh' so to speak, but I heard from a reliable source (circa 1990) that the shape and colour of her 'assets' put him in mind of twin ski slopes. The band is on the track, pure heavy metal with (some) thunder and lightning. And of course there is BIG ERTA!

I guess it depends which "Big Irta" you're talking about.... I suspect Andy was referring to the Brethrens truck - named after the lady herself....

Hope they reinforce the stage for this year, I saw EW&F with Chicago at a outdoor show here in Cincy a few years ago, and Phillip Bailey and the boys have packed on a few kilos since their 70's heyday. Fax

My perennial annual fantasy of a Led Zeppelin reunion fails for another year. Although I'll happily avoid anything involving mud sharks, ta.

I heard on the grapevine that the EW&F that will be at Le Mans are in fact Al McKay’s "Earth, Wind & Fire Experience" and not the band of a similar name.

So we get a pretend version of a sh*t band from the seventies, rather than just a regular sh*t band from the seventies? If i want to watch a pretend sh*t band from the seventies I can go to the working mans club in't village without traipsing to France. I wish they would just get rid of the crap music and but the fair back up that way, thus freeing up some space round the back of the tribunes. The music gets worse year on year.
