Does anyone know if the Le Mans Endurance Series is still going ahead in 2013 ? Not much uptodate info on the official website. There is supposed to be a 3 hour race at Silverstone the day before the WEC in April but there is no mention of it on the Silverstone website. Just mentions the WEC. Anyone know any more info ?

Seems like it's going ahead.
Read some news about Thiriet and Loeb confirming their plans to race in ELMS earlier this week.

OK, With the LMES running a three hour race on Saturday as well as the WEC qualifying the same day, then we have decided to make a weekend of the event and go on Saturday and Sunday. If you are quick, you can get a travelodge room around Northampton for between £20 - £22 for the Saturday night which we have done and booked a couple of rooms at Wootton Travelodge. The hotel joins onto a pub which good for last orders on saturday night.

As an added bonus, there is a BriSCA Formula 1 stock car meeting at Brafield / Northampton International Raceway on the Saturday night which starts at 6.30 pm and is onlty 4 miles away from the hotel. So a proper motorsport weekend is going to be had.

I'll be leaving Antwerp Friday afternoon, will probably stay at Milton Keynes again & head back home Sunday after the race.  Will be the 7th raceweekend on a row (starting at f1 test in Barcelona, Amelia island, Sebring, Nascar, rally and BTCC), guess I'll be knackered (and broke) by then  Grin

Making up for the 6 months I lost last year !

Right:
Le Mans - Booked.
Silverstone - Booked
Brisca F1 - Has to be done. What a weekend I'm going to have in april!

Strictly speaking, the LMES no longer exists. It went back to being called the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) when the ILMC/WEC arrived in 2011.

It's in the diary now as at the moment it looks like I'm going to have to forgo the trip to Le Sarthe this year. Can't get any free time over the summer.

Anyone at Imola next week ?

I'm flying in on Thursday, working for Race Performance at the track.  Really looking forward to see the Mille Miglia on Thursday evening.  Can't see them during the day 'cause I'm stuck at Imola (they pass through Modena during the ELMS race) but the arrival at Ferrara on Thursday evening seems pretty exciting.  Heading on to Modena fot the Museo Ferrari on Sunday and flying back home Mondaymorning.  Should be good (unexpected) trip Grin
