ACO are asking for race fans to choose the legends of Le Mans

http://www.lemans.org/en/elect-cars-24-hours-of-le-mans.html

(We should make sure at least that the Mazda wins in the 1990-2000 decade)

I wish I had read the rules before making my selections!

You have to click "like" on their facebook page first.....

Not that I'm audi's biggest fan or anything but does it not seem odd that the R8 doesn't feature from 2000-2010 category winning the race 5 times must not be good enough in the eyes of the ACO ? Seems strange to me.

I think the logic might be that the R8 was dominant in an era when it largely unopposed. The R10 won fewer times but in the face of a serious factory effort by Peugeot, and that makes it more of a 'legend' in the terms of the vote.

Very true i suppose but as the old saying goes "you can only beat whats put in front of you"
Although to counter my own argument in audi's case that was only really an VAG Bentley which is a bit like Man UTD playing Man UTD reserves in the Cup Final.

Couple of others that maybe should be includes. Porsche 936 and the McLaren f1.

I just ticked the French option when given the chance, that way my entry should make it into the draw!

The choices for each car are based on a citation for one specific year. That is perhaps why some of the selections might seem odd.
