You'll love the atmosphere there, even when it rains it's still a hell of a good week.  The fact that a first class motor race is going on as well as everything else seems to be a bonus  Grin

I totally agree with you Steve.  I would advice getting there as early as possible in the week, it gives time to both, orientate youself, as it can be a bit manic at times, and to meet up with a few CA people who's generosity with booze knows no bounds. Where in Oz are you

Le Mans is fine too, even the 51 other weeks  Wink

Just ask the guys who come last week-end how different it was.

I wouldn't bother, you can always see it on the official DVD later - you'll waste drinking time  Grin Wink Grin

If me and a friend go to a hypermarket in Le Mans town Saturday morning and buy a few crates, how long will the whole thing take because I guess it'll be damn busy and we can't take much down because we're going on motorbike pillion?

The best hypermarket is in The Hidden Woods, by the whispering tree. It could take a very long time.

Yes.

Plan ahead, do your shopping before Saturday because 1) it's too busy on the roads and 2) there are things not to miss.

On the other hand, if your ambition is just to sit outside and drink beer rather than watch a race, then you'd find some same-age same-intention company in my local park...

Locker -

I took my bike a few years ago. And carving through traffic wasnt too bad ,although the French are nuts on the saturday morning trying to get into the races.

Get your beer in on Friday ,it may take two trips . you may find another group who will get the beer for you ??

Oh - DONT GO OUT ON SATURDAY , ITS MANIC THE SHOPS SELL OUT REALLY QUICKLY OF EVERYTHING.

Confused now.
