Loved the race as always - and really impressed with Silverstone these days. Only comment - why were so many of the grandstands closed? - health and safety I dare say - at a motor race!!! Bonkers. Having met up with other members of team Monkey we headed - on my recommendation - over to the large stand between Maggots and Chapel (quite a schlep) only to find it - like so many others was locked up. I spent a very happy hour there last year, it’s a fantastic view from there. So that was really disappointing.
But overall great day out.

Not so much 'elf n safety, but means employing a steward/G4S security person to ensure safety in the stand. Personally, I say leave them open, as people are sensible, but sadly the law doesn't recognise sense |

Strong rumour that Silverstone will go to a 12 hour race next year and finish at midnight! I might even make the effort to go if that happens. Silverstone, just like the wife, looks much better in the dark. |
