I'm looking forward to catching up with all the stories and photos from the weekend and hope those lucky enough to make it to Le Mans this year had a fantastic time.

I was gutted not to be at Le Mans this year!  Kate and I had planned to take a year off, but as some of you will know, we had no idea how things would pan out for the last week.  Kate (28) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 4 weeks ago and underwent the first stage of her treatment last week.  The good news is that the first stage of her treatment appears to have been a success.  There is a long road ahead and we won't know more for a couple of weeks...

We have taken strength and received support from friends, family and a number of charities, most notably Macmillan Cancer Care.  If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, it really will be to a worthy cause.  For the second time in my life I've been reminded that life can knock you sidways/take you out when you least expect it  Roll Eyes

Stu is running, which will be a challenge and a laugh at the same time  Evil

Thanks in advance, Vicky, Stu and Kate xx

All the best to Kate from Chez Termite.  Lots of us have gone through the big C and are out the other side so there's always lots of hope, more and more than ever.   The only advice I can give is to enjoy every day and never put off until next year what you can do this. Smiley

Thanks Deb!  Hope you're doing well and had a great time.  See you soon (next year or 2014, when we'd planned to return to LM). Vx

We wanted to thank CA members for their support, through this website and on Facebook, over the last few months.

Stu completed his 10k run on Saturday and we're very humbled by everyones generosity and show of support for Kate, and of course Macmillan.

Kate is doing well and coming to the end of her chemo, she'll be on the road to recovery after the 16th November!

I just want to acknowledge that Deb posted here in June, words that everyone should take notice of, it's unjust that she was taken despite her being a great person with an amazing positive attitude.

This is the last time I'll post about the run/charity, but as we know just from this forum cancer affects a lot of the CA family and friends - Macmillan have helped us and would help you too.  If you have a £ to spare then it would be great to see Stu over the £2,000 mark http://www.justgiving.com/Stuart-Callister

Thanks and see you in 2014 if not before. QV (Stu and Kate) x

Well done Stu.
I've just given it a nudge over the £2000 mark.
