Hi Rick.

Seriously? Cans and bottles? No alchohol?

Sadly Steve, according to Father Derek (remember the chaps who used to camp next to us on MB who always had "dinner" in jackets, bows and Union flag shorts accompanied by their "portable" lady friend on the Friday evenings?) who arrived a couple of hours ago on MB, it appears to be cans too this year within the circuit walls. Bugger.

Unbelievable! Wonder what the local supermarkets have to say about that? Let me know what cunning plans you devise to circumvent this ACO rule.

This all seems rather worrying! However, with true British inventiveness and never say die attitude I am sure there is a way around it.

So who ever has started digging the tunnel under the MB wall in Great Escape style, can they please share its location  Grin

Can't you throw / winch bottles over the MB wall? Alternatively, you could try having French numberplates....

They'll be moaning when they're left with a few hundred more cases of beer this year than usual!
Bottles I can understand - although the French package most of their beer in bottles, go figure - but cans?
That's simply daft to ban cans!

We're in Maison Blanch. Got given a huge bag when we arrived "for cans". The guy said no bottles, but no searching. We brought back a case of glass bottles later, no searching. We went in the gate by the main entrance by foot and we were searched for bottles and alcohol. So it's very variable  so very French, so ACO!

That's why I'm still in Florida...can't stand beer in cans.  That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Have a Stella on me!  Then come on over to Sebring and I will buy you all one.

Noooooooooo!!!! Don't do it!!!!

Tried that a year or two ago. Managed to cram about 15 stubbies in there. Set off to the track feeling smug. Shortly after, up near the Dunlop grandstand I jumped over a wall and the bastard went off- popped the mouthpiece off like a bullet and started spraying warm beer over everyone in a 30 yard radius. Could I f**k catch it, it was flailing around all over the place. Ended up looking like a tosser, soaked in beer and without anything left to drink.
