UPS delivered my tickets today - well some of them  Cry Cry

Due to the (I'll be polite here) cock-ups in the on-line ordering system, I had to place two separate orders, and paid for postage on one of them.  Later, I bought some ACO grandstand tickets for another CAer.  I emailed the ACO (twice) to get the three orders consolidated into one delivery, but no such luck - only the order with the postage prepaid was delivered.  Should not have been difficult to consolidate three separate order under the same client code, but they couldn't.

If the ACO lived in the real commercial world, they would have gone bust years ago........oh, hang on...they did!!  But they don't seem to have learned very much  Angry Angry

Del, I ended up with 2 separate orders.  One has arrived today, still waiting on the second.

If you didn't pay for postage on the second order, looks like you'll have to pick up at the Rotunda.  If you DID pay the second postage, you've got more money than sense   Grin Grin

I specifically enquired with the ACO just the other day as I knew Del and I were in exactly the same situation with split orders. My orders were only 24 hours apart but all the same I can confirm that they will not consolidate different orders within one postage paid. Their response was a flat 'Non'. A bit rich really as it was not our fault that the ticket ordering system was the root cause of the separate orders in the first place!

I'll be seeing Del at the Rotunda to pick up my grandstand tickets, and the ones that he kindly ordered on my behalf  Smiley

Oh - my other (postage paid) order arrived today also.

You want to try living here.  Roll Eyes The ACO is not unique.

A friend of mine is getting married a week on Saturday (she's a French national).  In France, you have to order a copy of your birth certificate from a central agency when it's needed for official purposes.  These copies are valid for just three months.  Yesterday she got a phone call from the Mairie (town hall) to say that the copy of her birth certificate which she had submitted pre-wedding will be three days out of date on the big day so it won't be valid.  She now has to order another one (and possibly travel 200ks to pick it up) in order to be married at all.  If she can't produce a valid one, the wedding's off.   That's it.  No questions, no comebacks. Them's the rules. Roll Eyes

Looks like we'll have circa 4 GE's going spare again this year (not sure of exact number yet) if anyone is interested - as always, will come to an agreement that means they will cost less than face value, so cheaper than buying at the gate.
