Travelling from Pompey to St Malo, breakfast time landing, should we stop and eat in St Malo before we blast (sorry  police, cruise sedately) to Le Mans or, as has been suggested to me by somebody who knows the area, go to Dinard or, more likely, Dinan to have our croissants and Espresso's? Anybody any experience of the area?

Simple traditional fare for simple folk and an owner sympathetic to our limited Francais an advantage, along with somewhere nearby to park.

Any advice gratefully received.

I would pop down to Rennes which is on the way and breaks up the journey nicely.

Make sure yo have sat nav though because Rennes can be a pig to get out of.

On the way in there is a pretty big Geant supermarket with eateries. This is at Z.I. St. Gregoire, there is also a Macdonalds close by.... Grin
