Let's have a thread for all those who got busted by the French C(u)ntstables :-

Me for one - well twice actually!

Tuesday - arriving at Arnage roundabout.
Busted for using my mobile - €22 thank you very much

Monday - Alencon to Sees - on that quick bit of dual carraigeway up through the hills.............
152k in a 110 - another €90 cheers

As the first time in 13 years (unlucky for some...........) that I have had ANY problems with the Gendarmerie, I suppose that I should consider I got off lightly -  

Some poor unlucky sods on Ducati's who got nicked at the same time as me got €750 for doing 187k in the same place.
One guy blew over the alcohol limit and was carted off immediately to court (not to be seen again), the other had only a pre-paid card with €500 left on it and was carted off to the town to try to get the money some other how - otherwise NICKED!!

I did feel a bit sorry at least for the second guy - he was completely gutted. I hope you got it sorted out somehow....................

May I just add that 152k is only a shade over 90mph - so not really what you call outrageous. Certainly NOT Pistonheads!

Try that in Holland, the cellphone will cost you € 160, and de 152 in the 110 about €200.

My guess is you came of lightly then!

Accepted Langtall - no complaints here. Like I said - if you do the crime you pays the fine.

As I am usually such a law abiding citizen, just a bit surprised to get two offences in one week after going to LM for so long

I got flashed by a permanant static camera just the le mans side of Gace. Doing 60KPH in a 40KPH zone, yes that slow. Not heard anything yet (and hope not to, for this year at least) Though I should have known better as Gace is always a trouble spot for those of us on the loud pedal

Yeah, he seems to be fine after a thorough check up in hospital. Seems it's been a scary one-off but all seems well now. Thanks for asking.
