Does anyone know of a equipment hire shop in or near Le Mans where I can hire a suitcase type generator?

Thanks

Hi Christopher
Muchos Gracias Amigo. Hope you're well my friend, I'll give these fellas a try.
Do make sure you and Team Crazy Dutch Men and the occasional Danish caravan dweller (and that goes for you AJW as well) come over to MB anytime after mid day Thursday for drinks with Tres Hombres. We are ten in number this year so rivaling Bas and His Merry Men in numbers. Generator pending we may even have lights and music (Led Zeppelin / Deep Purple OK with you?)
I'll pm you my mobile # so we can keep in touch.

BTW Monsieur Zarse - Monster Munch purchased!

Thanks again Christopher

Steve,

We'll be at our usual spot on Houx and Peter will be with us again. He usually brings a generator with him but that's just for back-up as we have always managed to plug in for electricity.
I could ask him if you could lend it for a couple of days, only thing you would need is a lock and something to attach it to. Probably much easier and cheaper than hiring a generator near Le Mans. Just let me know.

Edit: Come to think of it we even have a little generator ourselves, never use it only start the thing up once a year to see if it's still working. You can definitely use that one, makes a bit of noise though.

Bas
As ever, a gentleman and a scholar. I even think I've a photograph of you standing next to your generator a couple of years ago.
Very kind offer which I am pleased to accept and will be bringing over offerings of liquid consumables by way of payment.
I'll keep in touch and make arrangements nearer the time.

Thanks again Bas - The Club Arnage spirit still exists!

Excellent!

Just to double check, are you sure it's beef flavour?

Please ensure it is stored in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight until your departure and placed it in a secure lockable box for the journey, then locked safely out of sight in your car until I can get over to MB. It might be as well to set employ 24 hour armed security, we don't want les voleurs getting their grubby mits on it. I know it my seem like overkill to some people, but I would be heart broken to think of nasty theiving pikies eating my Monster Munch. You can't be too carefull.

Glad to be of assistance Steve, I believe we've a jerrycan for petrol as well.

BTW maybe it's an idea to bring over your Hombres to the green pastures of Houx say Friday for drinks and the traditional Grand Prix du Houx?  Grin

Is there any particular reason why we're not taking our own bags of the beautiful corn snack?  (other than the obvious that I'd eat them all?).

By the way - beef is for WIMPS.  It's ALL about Pickled Onion flavour.

Pickled onion? Disgusting if you eat more than three bags. And you had far too many bags for your own good last year Brad

and to keep Brad happy - http://www.megamonstermunch.com/downloads/masks/Pickled_Onion_Mask.pdf

And Lord Steve, please do not give any of these great gourmet food snack out to just anybody, but to people who identify themselfs by wearing the correct face decoration!

I mean once the french hear you have Monster Munch on site, their would be riots!  Grin

It would be an honour, thanks for the invitation. We can arrange it on Thursday if you want.

I won't tell any of them about the Grand Prix but PLEASE do it - I'll bring my camera for that one!!!!

I've employed the services of some bouncers from Les Grandes Boobies lap dancing bar in Le Mans to stand guard over aforementioned snack stash until such time as you make an appearance at Le Table des Hombres. They said they may bring some of the girls over but I told them not to bother - we don't want that sort of thing going on - a terrible distraction when one is munching les monstres.

PS - Beef it most certainly is.

It's amazing how easily an innocent request for information regarding generator hire has gone, in 12 messages, to corn based snack fetish masks.

OK Steve let's organize a proper GP, anthem, warm-up lap, safety car and the lot. I'll get in touch to make arrangements for that and the genny.  Grin
