A member of another forum i use passed away yesterday morning due to months of fighting against several forms of cancer. End of last year when we all found out about Chris's problems we all made a small donation and raised about £250 for him to do something / what ever he wished to do as at this time he had been told he had 2 years to live. That was December - fast forward to April he was told he only had 6 months to live.

this is a brief incite into Chris's outcome -

Right due to people asking questions in another thread i though i'd clean that one up and start a fresh one here so we ( I ) don't get confused about it all.

Just a brief background for anyone that didn't know. On the 3rd of November i was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in my oesophgus which was opperable, albeit an 8 hour job. This didn't worry me at all due to the fact i know there was something there and had already researched the topic so knew what to expect. With this cancer being mainly found in patents 60+ they decided to look a bit further into it and while looking into that they found out the cancer had spread but were not 100% sure where to. The results of a further endoscopy revealed that it had in fact spread to my lymph nodes and to my liver, and by this time it was terminal. Just hearing that was like a left hook from tyson, something that happens to other people but not you yourself.

Fastforward 3 months and after 4 sessions of chemo i needed a ct scan to see what was happening with the tumour to see if they'd grown, shrunk or stayed the same. Oh here comes the mike tyson right, BOOM, the tumours have grown and spread. I knew the one in my oesophagus had grown coz i was starting to struggle with food again but i wasn't aware that it was this serious. The tumour in my liver has grown slightly and also spread to other parts of my liver, and to top it all off there are signs that it's going to spread to my stomach soon which is a bit of a shitter. Then the specialist had the awesome job of tell me that i now only had 3 to 6 months left, this was more of a shock than the origanal diagnosis and produced the quietest drive home ever.

So any questions you have that you want answering don't feel it's a taboo subject coz on here, nothing is taboo

Sadly he passed away as stated yesterday morning unexpectedly leaving a partner and 3 kids behind. He must of known something was up as a trip to Alton Towers was arranged for him on the 3rd of May and he said on friday when some members went to see him he wouldnt be sure if he would make it Sad

To raise a little bit more money in memory of him a few things have been started.

1) A small comical ebay auction was made in memory of Chris and his hatred of LEXUS lights Click

Again all money for Cancer Research U.K

2) 2 Members have entered a track day with a difference - They are completing the 10k run around The Bridge Grand Prix Circuit at Silverstone on 4th May 2011 at 19:30

If you can spare 1p or £1 obviously there's no pressure and no minimum donation amount, but if you can give what you can it would be really appreciated and all proceeds go to Chris's charity of choice Cancer Research UK.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and again if you can spare anything please donate.
