Lets hope that they do survive in some form or another, once upon a time Bristol wa a regular at lemans and they have always been a car for the real enthusiast.

Nice cars, but looking at the accounts they've been just about bust since 2008, and probably losing money for years.  I would have thought that they would have gone to one of the larger firms of accountants to find a buyer, as there may be a lot of interest (and money) from abroad.  It could be another TVR. Grin

I'm sorry for the few people who worked there (if there were any) but Bristol has meant little to me over the years. They might have made some nice stuff in the fifties etc but as long as I can remember the management were an arrogant pompous bunch of has-beens. Finest car in the world indeed, they made wilfully ugly out-dated over-priced heaps of rubbish driven by fey and pretentious people who wear mustard coloured corduroy trousers with a hanky sticking out of their cuffs.

Camping sucks and is for poor people. I dont do camping. I pitch my tent, scowl at it, complain about it and then lay in it for a few hours, sleepless and full of bitter regret.

 I hate it, but if it means i get to spend time with my chums on MB then i will put up with it for a few days a year. Must stop now, i'm coming out in hives just thinking about it.

Speaking from personal experience I think three out of three relate to Dr S's old Alfa - and that was before we even left Barnsley!

It's also worth noting that designer Malcolm Sayer learnt much of his trade at Bristol and brought aircraft design principles into car design. It was Malcolm Sayer who brought us the Jaguar XK series, the and D Type racers, the E Type road car and the XJ13 prototype.
