At the moment the writing still isn't joined up and it's unlikely that the fixed radar infringements will make their way back to the UK.  But it's on the cards for the future.

Whats a French average speed camera look like?
You can spot the Brit ones a mile off, but I don't recall seeing anything similar across the water.

It's a bloomin' great big grey thing, usually with a warning sign several hundred meters in advance of it.  I'll try to find some piccies for you.

That's the ordinary speed camera isn't it?
I've seen and been flashed by a few of those.
It's the average speed cameras that I haven't seen.
Or are they identical?

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

They won't worry me one little bit. For the first time in 20 years I am travelling incognito and someone else is doing the driving. Cool

The picture I posted is of an average speed camera.  The others are rectangular and bigger.

I'm probably going to be towing for the next few years in France, except LM week, so I probably don't need to worry.

What I haven't established yet is what sort of warning signs (if any) will be posted with the average speed cameras.  Kpy might know?

Yes they will:
