Hi all,

Tom and I have been approached by CA member Jannik Pallesen aka danishmarshal who has asked us for permission to translate the guide into Danish for those Danes at Le Mans which are not so fluent in English. Assuming that this will be also strictly non-commercial and that the Danish version will also be downloadable from the CA website I actually welcome this idea. It could give CA more publicity and probably there could also be more contributions to the guide in the future.

But this is just my personal opinion and since the CA Guide is the work of many of us I would like to get some feedback before giving an OK for this.

Your opinions, please!

Werner

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

I only contributed a tiny bit, but no objections here either.

What's the downside?  I don't see one.

We probably need to be absolutely certain to get the Danish legal-ese paragraph bang on though.

I think this is a great idea.

I have been reading the guide for at cople of years now, and also used it in planning my trips, but for those firsttimers to LeMans going throw all this information in english can be a bit hard.

Let me know if you want some help with this.

An excellent idea, methinks.

After all, how are we supposed to reach true Vikingesque levels of depravity and mortal sin on our annual sojourn to La Belle France if our Viking brethren are unable to read from the Holy Book of La Sarthe (online edition)?

At the end of the day we are motorsport enthusiasts, if we can help others understand the vagaries of LM24 then why not. The guide has not been selfishly produced and is for the benefit of all. I would suggest letting them do it and hosting the final version on our site with the hope that if they turn up and download it they may then contribute to our charities.

So YES.

Fine by me, but do the Danes really need any more encouragement Wink

In my opinion, and I think Perdu will not dissent, it is worth mentioning the score tonight was 2-1 to England with both our goals from the Villa boys.

Publish and be damned!! Wink
